Once upon a time, Rheumatic disorders haunted mankind. With the turn of the century, we have seen a paradigm shift towards this perception. We now look at these disorders like we see any other manageable disease. The fundamentals include, an early diagnoses and management with effective treatment. The aim of our Society revolves around these very principles. We salute our visionary founder members, who not long ago, had sown the seeds of rheumatology in the form of 'Pakistan Society for Rheumatology'. This Society is now undoubtedly the beckon of hope for patients with such disorders not only in Pakistan but throughout this region
